Happy New Year!  2008 is here and we are looking forward to another great year.  We have a lot of new fabric, patterns, books, notions, classes and our new 2008 Thimbleberries Club (look below for more information about the club.)   

Michael and Mike have been busy giving the shop a new look.  Stop in and see what they have been up to and while you are there check out the class samples, I am sure you will not be able to resist signing up for a class or two.

 

THIMBLEBERRIES CLUB 2008

Quilt Club 2008 features the Lodge & Lakeside fabrics by RJR and the Big Club Quilt in two colorways—Lodge & Lakeside.  Four single patterns, published quarterly, are used to complete the Big Club Quilt. They are Lakeland Pines, Bear Paw Runner, Forest Bloom and Woodland Stars, also available in two color options.  In addition, Lynette designs extra club projects exclusively for Thimbleberries Club members and communicates with them monthly through her Quilt Club newsletter.

Thimbleberries Quilt Club is a year-long program developed annually with a different theme each year.  The emphasis of the Club is getting together with others who share a love of quilting in a comfortable, relaxed setting. 

Our Thimbleberries Club meets the Third Saturday of each month from 10:30 am-1:00 pm. and the third Sunday from 12:30 pm-3:00 pm.  The membership fee is only $40.00 for the whole year and it includes monthly block pattern, newsletter, monthly project, 15% discount on all regular priced fabric the day of the club, 15% discount on Thimbleberries fabric anytime (just present your membership card), an instructor to help with your projects, a door prize drawing each month during the club and a chance to meet and make new friends.  We will also have demos on binding and appliqué just to name a few.  It’s not to late to join.  Come and join the fun!

CLASS SCHEDULE:

Primitive Hearts

Sat.  Feb. 2     10:00 am-2:00 pm

If you have wanted to learn how to appliqué but thought it was too hard, this is the class to take.  Easy appliqué hearts make up a quaint wall hanging.  Come in the shop to see the sample and sign up for this class.  $25

 

Towne Purse

Sun.  Feb. 3     12:00 pm-4:00 pm

This stylish purse is easy to make and very functional.  The inside is loaded with 9 pockets for everything from your cell phone and sunglasses to pens and a nail file. (Pattern required)  $35

 

Quilted Sweatshirt Jacket

Sat.  Feb. 9 and Feb. 23     10:00 am-2:00 pm

This is a two-part class.  Just in time for fall.  Change an old sweatshirt (or a new one) into a great jacket for the cooler weather. Sample is in the shop, stop in a take a look.  $25.00

Professional Tote

Sun.  Feb. 10      12:00 pm-5:00 pm

This tote has all the pockets and compartments needed for today’s women.  Let’s not forget about the professional diaper bag.  This tote has pockets for everything including a laptop.(  (Pattern required)  $45

 
Log Cabi n

If you have always wanted to learn to quilt and haven’t done it yet, this is the perfect class to take.  The Log Cabin quilt is perfect for beginners.  Stop in and check out the sample.  I know you will want to do a quilt in your colors.  $25

 

Beginner Quilt Class

Sun.  Feb. 24     12:30 pm-3:30 pm

Have you always wanted to make a quilt but didn’t know how to start?  This is the class to take.  You will learn how to rotary cut, understand the quilt rulers and make a small quilt. It will be just the beginning; from this class I am sure that you won’t be able to stop quilting.  Choose your pattern from Thimbleberries Jiffy Quilt Patterns.  You will have a lot of fun and a beautiful lap quilt.          $25.00

        

Tulip House Wall hanging

The beautiful wall hanging will brighten up any room in your house.  Easy to do.  Stop in and look at the class sample.  You will want to take this class.  (Pattern required)   $25

 

Four-Patch Stacked Posies

Sat.  March 8     10:00 am-2:00 pm

If you have done Stack and Whack and Stack the Deck, you will want to take this class and learn another way of making a beautiful quilt  by arranging the squares to get the look you want. Stop by the shop and see the sample, you will fall in love with this quilt. (Pattern required)  $40

 

Bow Tucks Tote

Sun.  March 9      12:00 pm-4:00 pm

This is a great bag for all your needs.  Mine is filled with all the basic supplies, and still I find room for a bottle of water, camera and even a spare pacifier and diaper!  It has a great pocket for keys on the outside!  The bag is very sturdy, with a rigid bottom and straps that fit over the shoulder.   (Pattern required)  $40
